About this game
A Familiar World gives the usual jigsaw puzzle genre a different spin. Not only does it feature good-looking models in exciting environments and situations, but it also offers a story element that you unlock by completing puzzles.
You can do each puzzle in five different difficulties ranging from surprisingly easy to frustratingly impossible. People who seek a challenge can enjoy this game just as much as those that want to lay back and do some simple jigsaw puzzles.
The game plays in and around a castle in a post-apocalyptic world. A long and brutal war left only a few strong men alive. Each settled down in their own part of the world. Those men quickly became the center point of small functioning societies comprised of the remaining females. A Familiar World tells the story of nine women, how they found each other, and how they eventually managed to flee their cruel reality.
The story element of this game that can be unlocked by completing puzzles works as a Prologue of a visual novel, A Foreign World. The main story will talk about the struggles those nine women face in this new world they flee to. Can you help them?

A Familiar World will become Free to Play
Hello everyone, As the title suggests, I'm planning to make A Familiar World a free-to-play game instead of a paid one. I should note that Steam asks me to announce this one week before the change goes into effect. The reasoning behind that is understandable. Nobody should buy the game the day before it becomes free to play. It would just make them resentful. At the same time, this was always the plan. A Familiar World would become free-to-play the moment when keeping a price tag on it is no longer worth it. I'm grateful to everyone who bought and enjoyed the game. A Familiar World v1.0.0
As a small apology to everyone who was waiting for a new update, I added a couple of extra puzzles that are sort of out of contention. They don't unlock new scenes, but they feature the girls. I turned some of the promo images I created over the year into puzzles. After that, I added some of the better renders from A Foreign World. I also turned them into puzzles. Again, they don't unlock scenes, but if you can enjoy a good puzzle (and I know there aren't that many people who do), you can now enjoy this game a bit longer. A Familiar World v0.4.1
This update adds 15 new puzzles, 7 new scenes, about 80 CGs, and 3.000 words of story. Some people have raised the issue of excessive depth of field on puzzle images making the harder difficulties almost impossible. In this update, we removed some of the depth of field.
