About the Game
Destroy Humanity with virus outbreaks, asteroid impacts and more as Planet Earth! Or team up with up to five friends as the World Leaders, Industry, Media, Scientists and Public, and try to survive. Impossible dilemmas and branching narratives create countless paths in this strategic party game!

As Planet Earth, your goal is to destroy humanity to ensure your own survival. You can trigger disasters and all kinds of events to damage the Ecosystems & Pollution and turn the planet into an unliveable hell! Earth’s arsenal is based on real-life threats, ranging from virus outbreaks, to locust plagues, and even asteroid impacts.

As the World Leaders, you create the laws and regulations the others need to abide by. If a virus breaks out, will you instigate global lockdowns, partial lockdowns, or none at all? Will you forcefully evacuate the Public ahead of the asteroid impact and risk revolt to save their lives, or will you value their free will?

The Industry manages all corporations and the economy. Will you force your staff to work remotely to limit virus spread, force them to come into the office to limit productivity loss, or allow them to choose for themselves? Will you hire the Scientists to research ways to lower your emissions, or prioritize profits?

Scientists need to spend resources to successfully complete scientific research and discover solutions to humanity's struggles. The more you spend, the bigger the chance of success, but at the cost of lowering your influence. Will you prioritize the greater good? Or will self-interest prevail?

The Media needs to report the news and inform the other players. Will you do your duty and keep it truthful, or will you sensationalize events for more clicks? Will your praise the Industry's decision to force employees to work from home, criticize them for harming the little guy, or ignore it altogether and focus on something more click-worthy?

The last role is the Public, representing the everyday citizen. Will you follow virus safety guidelines or do you want to keep living life as usual? Will you enter the asteroid impact zone to save your fellow humans, or leave it up to rescue workers? And what does it take before you rise up in full revolt?

With a wide variety of branching narratives, each decision you make leads humanity down a different path. So carefully consider the consequences of your actions. Will you prioritize the greater good? Or will self-interest prevail?

Update 1.8 is live!
We just released Update 1.8, introducing the "Supervolcanic Eruption" quick game and fixing a bug in the Asteroid Disaster! Read the full changelog below: Changes: Added the Supervolcanic Eruption quick game to the game! Reworked Hard Mode: Earth will no longer see the effects of their decisions in Hard Mode, bringing them in line with other players. Players will no longer see when someone targeted them with an ability and what the effects were in Hard Mode. The cursor will now automatically disappear when it is idle for 3 seconds. Added Chinese voiceovers for News Item headlines in the Supervolcanic Eruption disaster. Added a config file that allows players to customize lots of game aspects. This file is called “config.default.ini” and can be found in “…/Project Planet - Earth vs Humanity/ProjectPlanet_Data”. Simply copy the default config, name it “config.ini” and make your required changes. Warning: Using certain values in this config file may break the game. Never delete the “config.default.ini” and delete your custom config in case of game errors. Balance changes: Large range of small buffs and nerfs to bring the balance back in line with the version 1.6 balance, to offset changes caused by the internal systems overhaul in version 1.7. Added two new questions to the Scientists to improve the balance in Stage 3 of the Solar Flare. Bug fixes: Fixed an issue that would cause the first Sensationalistic video of the Asteroid Impact to not be played. Fixed an issue where the game could become stuck if a video could not be loaded (as in the previous issue). Added a new question to the Public to prevent the game from getting stuck on Stage 3 of the Supervolcanic Eruption. Fixed an issue where Scientists would get +6 score for selling research even if it fails in Supervolcanic Eruption Stage 1. Fixed an issue where Scientists “Funding received” would show 0 when they got 4 funding. Fixed an issue where the Public could not choose their third option for one of the questi...Read full article on Community Announcements (rik)AnnouncementsOfficial

Update 1.7 is live!
We just released Update 1.7, introducing the all new "Supervolcanic Eruption" disaster! Read the full changelog below: Changes: Added the Supervolcanic Eruption disaster to the game! The first supervolcanic eruption in modern human history. Originating at the Kikai Caldera in Japan, resulting in massive destruction and tsunamis hitting coastlines around Asia. The ash released will trigger a mini-ice age, resulting in power shortages and famine on a global scale. Improved the naming of Research Tracks. Balance changes: Small change to Earth’s “Nature Pile-Up” decision in the Pest Control stage of the Locust Plague, to make the two cheaper options more appealing. Small change to Industry’s “After-Effects Discovered” and “After-Effects Need Research” options, to make “Wait and see” option more appealing. Large overhaul of internal systems that may slightly affect the balance. These changes will be offset in future (balance) updates.
