  MakeRoom: Tidy Up! (free update)

  Hey everyone! I'm super excited to present MakeRoom: Tidy Up! 🫧 It's the biggest update yet adding new game modes, pools, rooftops and more. You can now play through 16 new objectives that are themed around cleaning, gardening and unpacking! Let's dive in...Cleaning, Gardening & UnpackingThis updates adds brand new objective types. You'll find that the island has been expanded and new buildings have been added! Each of the objectives unlocks a new item for you to use in sandbox mode.Cleaning & Gardening 🫧During the new cleaning & gardening objectives you'll get various tools to clean up all sorts of scenes. Use the vacuum, mower, watering can, or rag to tidy everything up and transform messy spaces into beautiful homes and gardens.Unpacking 📦In the new Unpacking objectives you'll find a box filled with furniture and decorations waiting to be placed. Unpack every item and find the perfect spot for it to complete each room.RooftopsYou'll now be able to choose rooftops as your environment! Change the building style, barrier, windows, color and textures to create the perfect setting for your rooftop terrace. Also new is a completely empty environment, for those that wish to start completely from scratch!PoolsBuild any shape of pool using the new pool pieces! You'll find them in the construction category. There's also the option to drain your pool so you can use the new pieces for planters.   Hello everyone! A new update for MakeRoom has been released which adds many new features and items. The game is now also available in more languages; Spanish, Polish, Turkish, Swedish and Brazilian Portuguese. Let's find out what's new, but first...You can now get an exclusive 'Kenney' plush, our studio mascot! If you'd like to use Kenney in your creations, enter the secret code: kenney in the menu to unlock him. The plushie is available for a limited time only through Youtooz!Enhanced visualsThe lighting system has been overhauled. Now lights affect the environment and add a pleasing glow to the space around them. Some of the lights (like candles, lanterns) will flicker. You can switch between enhanced and basic visuals in the options, as well as disable the flickering.Objects from customAll 192 items that were previously only available when creating custom furniture are now also available to be placed while creating scenes. You'll find them in the new 'Primitives' category!Field of viewIt's now possible to adjust the field of view, it ranges between 20 (which was the default value) to 50. Together with the unrestricted camera option you'll now be able to view your creations in totally new ways!ImprovementsYou'll also find many new improvements to the game like hotkeys for gizmo and duplicate-in-place, the ability to make objects much smaller, save slots have been expanded to 30 pages and double the amount of custom color slots are now available.   Hey everyone! A new update for MakeRoom has been released which adds new features and items. The game has also be translated to more languages including French, German and Chinese!Custom patternsIt's now possible to load custom images to use as patterns for both walls and floors. It works exactly the same as loading images for picture frames! Please note that patterns have to be exactly 256 × 256 in size, otherwise they won't show up in-game.Wall shapes for camper vans & boatsThe ability to change the shape of both camper van and boats has been added, you'll even be able to remove the side wall entirely for more expansive builds! The example image above shows a new rounded wall for camper vans.TranslationsNew translations have been added which makes the game completely playable in English, Dutch, German, French, Russian and (Simplified) Chinese! The Dutch translations have been improved (hallo makkers!).New itemsOver 30 new make-up and beauty items have been added! Perfect for cluttering desks, or even creating beauty themed dioramas.   GroupingYou can now group objects together. Just select multiple objects and press G to create a group. After that, selecting any single object in the group will automatically select the entire group. To ungroup objects, make a selection and press CTRL + G. These hotkeys are also displayed in the instructions panel, which you can open by clicking the ? in the top-right corner of the screen.Color vans & boatsYou can now set a custom color for camper vans and boats, separate from the background. By default, they’ll still use the background color, so your existing creations will look the same. To change this, click on the camper van cabin or the boat’s hull to adjust its properties.New itemsAs always, this update also introduces over 50 new items! You’ll find food containers, storage boxes, toy bricks, tea boxes, new pillows, freestanding bathtubs, sticky notes, and much more. There are also new shapes and flowers available to use in custom creation mode. All the faucets in the game have been reworking and have better detail!Thank you once again everyone for leaving your suggestions, I still read them all and it brings me great joy that you're all loving the game so much.
