Command unique turrets across diverse biomes as you battle the Xeno in Reclamation of Xanthros, an innovative Tower-Defense Roguelike from developer Kyle Genter.

About this game

Reclamation of Xanthros is a unique Tower-Defense Roguelike game with a focus on replayability. It features a unique turret building mechanic, map alterations, biomes, and artifacts. Each enemy has unique mechanics and counters, especially the bosses! You must use whatever you find as well as the knowledge at your disposal, to even have a chance at surviving the onslaught.

  • Unique turret building

Configure towers from a set of archetypes combined with various augments and bases, allowing greater customization to fit what you need. These augments and bases can alter your towers' speed, range, damage, and even affect how the tower fires.

  • High replayability

Utilize all of the typical roguelike elements: Navigate randomized levels, discover new tower upgrades, unlock unique artifacts, withstand enemy waves, and prepare for boss encounters - You must make do with what you find along the way, or fall.

  • Plan

Pure RNG losses are never fun; that's why the game provides information on the next level so you can strategize! See what the next level looks like, as well as the most common enemy type. You may even alter the maps, to some degree.

  • Biomes

The game features multiple biomes to traverse. Each one has a unique theme, which affects certain types of enemies. All enemies have a unique mutation based on the biome that either gives them new abilities, or enhances something they already do. Mutated enemies from biomes you've already passed through may follow you as you continue onwards into new territories, so beware!

  • Base of Operations

In between each map you go to a base where you can change out tower parts, research new parts, buy upgrades, and preview the next area to prepare. The base also features hand-drawn backgrounds.

Final Level, but not final update.

Hello all, First, this is a big patch adding in the final level! As for what's left in early access, we have a new biome (desert) as well as 1 new boss enemy. Of course, bug fixes as well for reported issues. As for the final level, it will look a bit different based on which biome you are coming from. It also has a few fun surprises. This took a lot longer than expected because I wanted it to be exciting and some of the things I wanted to do broke systems already in place. Unfortunate, but it's working now. Finally, it has been a while since I last updated. Mostly on the personal side, our family moved to a new state, and my children are currently out on summer break; not to mention the final level being more challenging than I expected. For the rest of summer I will still be working, just a bit more slowly. I will be prioritizing work around the house and some time with my children. Once they go back to school, we will (finally) be focusing game development again primarily. We hope you enjoy the final level!

    Tutorial, auto-orienting blocks, and more!

NEW* Tiles will now auto-orient at the start of each map. This includes the random map modifications., making map paths look much cleaner. Previously this was done manually, and when the maps randomized themselves, tiles would not orient properly. Turrets can be placed by either clicking tiles then tower, or using hotkeys 1, 2, 3. You can now click the tower button, then any available tile, and it will allow multiple tower placements without having to repeatedly select the same tower. Tutorial Removed duplicate messages. Updated many pictures to reflect new UI. Fixed tutorial wave counter. New tutorial information for pause/play buttons. QoL Game's memory of the most recently selected tile has been improved. Bugs Fixed towers showing incorrect model in-base. Fixed Xeno tiles occasionally not allowing overloads. Updated all maps to now show new UI changes for mastery panel. Misc grammar fixes. UI New image for endgame screen. New hive entries in Bestiary. New "!" icon to denote activity in a room, rather than glowing gold (previous). MISC Difficulty +1 now starts with reduced gold, down from 225 to 150.
