Changes & Bug fixes - 28.06.2026
Hello everyone! We're really happy that you've all liked the update so far. We've received some great feedback from you once again, so we jumped right back to work and made some adjustments designed to make your lives easier, especially when it comes to the new features. Fusion of Modules It wasn't immediately clear how fusioning modules worked, which caused some frustration. That was entirely our fault, and we sincerely apologize for it. We have made the following changes: Fusion of modules is now completely free and the probability that modules will reach a higher rarity when fused has been doubled. Now the odds are as follows: Normal to Rare -> 100% Rare to Epic -> 70% Epic to Black Market -> 50% Black Market to Cursed -> 30% We've increased the maximum number of rerolls from 3 to 5 Instead of randomly selecting which attribute to swap, you can now choose which attributes to swap yourself Fixed bugs: Fixed a bug where scrolling no longer worked properly after marking modules as favorites Fixed the plague mask's material not loading correctly Fixed a bug that caused the module in the Inspector to display incorrect rarity colors after inspecting a cursed module Thank you very much and please keep sending us your feedback, we look forward to it!Read full article on Community Announcements (.Parona)AnnouncementsOfficial
Quality of Life, Modules 2.0, Engine & More
Hello everyone! The time has finally come: update 1.1 is finally live. And let us say this right off the bat: quite a bit more content made it into the update. Let's go through everything step by step. Upgrading to Unity 6 This was the biggest hurdle of them all. Midnight Heist was running on an older version of Unity, and that was holding us back. To use more modern tools, to gain real stability, and to open the door for everything we still want to build, we upgraded the entire game to the latest engine version. The game now runs on Unity 6. This wasn’t a simple button press. It meant going through thousands of assets, animations, and systems and making sure everything still behaves the way it should. With this new foundation in place, it will be much easier for us to add new content in the future. Because this is such a deep change, it’s possible that some new and unusual bugs show up on the wide variety of setups you all play on. If that happens, please report them here on Steam or Discord. Modules 2.0 Modules as you knew them are still here, but they’ve been revamped and, most importantly, expanded into a much deeper system. The biggest news: two brand new rarities now sit at the top of the lineup, Black Market and, above it, Cursed. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/43483122/f76d9ad97bc68a9e97a5c66aa6adcf870920e000.jpg {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/43483122/a37245688f3002c7e98aa233b12d656eb2ba1456.gif Black Market modules Black Market is a new high-end rarity for modules, and it comes with a twist that no other module has: every Black Market module rolls a random perk synergy. A Black Market module applies a bonus to a random perk, and that includes perks you don’t even have equipped. The bonus ranges from 10% all the way up to a massive 50%, and it strengthens the perk itself rather than being a flat stat. Here’s a concrete example. Say you have the Stamina perk at level 3, which gives you 100% more stamina. With a 50% perk bonus module for that perk, you don’t end up with 100% more st...Read full article on Community Announcements (.Parona)Patch NotesOfficial
Modules, Engine & More | Update News
Hello everyone! Many of you, just like us, are looking forward to new updates for Midnight Heist. We’ve been transparent with you so far about the fact that the revenue from the game hasn’t been enough to keep us up and running, so we’ve had to take on new projects (admittedly, it was also really good for our mental health to have a change of pace and try something new). We had and still have numerous ideas for Midnight Heist, and we promised you that there would be more content, so we have some good news for you. Upgrading the engine version That’s the biggest hurdle: Midnight Heist was running on an older version of Unity. To use more modern tools and, above all, to gain greater stability and more possibilities, we had to upgrade Midnight Heist to the latest version of Unity… and we did! In fact, the current developer version runs on the latest Unity 6 engine and is running pretty much bug-free. It’s still possible that we’ll initially receive more bug reports than usual, but the benefits here are much greater, and we’ll be able to fix the bugs promptly. Co-op Network Code As you know, there have been some crashes and general issues in multiplayer. It doesn't happen all the time, and it's mostly an issue with weaker connections, but we've made it our mission to completely overhaul the netcode. We've identified and fixed quite a few bugs, improved connection performance, and prevented crashes. Overall, we can say that the co-op experience should be much more stable now. Co-op rewards have been adjusted Previously, loot was simply divided equally among the number of players. Now we’re using a different calculation that’s less punishing for bringing friends along on a heist. It will always be more lucrative to collect the loot on your own, but it’s much more enjoyable in a group now. Teaser for new content This is the part most of you have been waiting for. Of course, in addition to the extensive technical changes and improvements, we also have new content for you. R...Read full article on Community Announcements (.Parona)Patch NotesOfficial
