About this game
Surviving in the Australian outback isn't easy - it is an extremely harsh environment with extreme temperatures, low rainfall, and little vegetation. The water is scarce. You will have to find your own strategy to survive, manage the heat and gather food.
Who are you and how did you get here?
Why are you alone?
Why did people leave this place?
How do you get back to civilisation?
And finally, are you really alone...
Survival
Australian wildlife isn't the friendliest in the world. Kangaroos and dingoes can be aggressive, but saltwater crocodiles or the eastern brown snake will most likely cause your death if you get too close to them. You will have to develop your own strategy to survive. You can either approach them directly with a weapon you crafted earlier, or you can build traps and prepare poisoned baits.
However, wildlife isn't your biggest problem. Extreme temperatures and dehydration is what usually kills people stranded in the Australian outback. You must find water. You must find shade. You may consider sleeping through the heat of the day and explore the outback at a night time. Or you can gather as much water as you can and continue exploring. You may carefully plan the trip so you stay shaded for most of it. The choice is entirely up to you.
Build and Craft
Building system allows players to build the shelter as advanced or as simple as they want. It currently includes basic and advanced shelter levels, with a variety of items to chose from.In addition to shelter, you will have to craft your weapons, traps, tools, and various other survival items.

Hello and current state of the game
G'Day folks! I just wanted to say hello and update you on the current status of "Alone in the Outback." We also want to let the community know that we are open to new ideas that align with the game's concept. We are quite pleased with how the development is progressing so far. The game's functionality, systems, and basic loops are complete; our main goal now is to continue building the narrative, make stunning levels, and create an in-game survival guide. And, of course, optimise, optimise, optimise. Another interesting fact about "Alone in the Outback" is that it is inspired by real stories and real locations in Northern Australia. In fact, a lot of the terrain is created using height maps from the real world, some of which you may well recognise. Please let us know if you are aware of any iconic outback spots that you believe everyone should know about :) {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/43156874/a0aac4d8ec3e4983f110f9a03a5833e5e67910f4.png MORE ABOUT THIS GAME https://twitter.com/aloneinoutback https://www.tiktok.com/@alone_in_the_outbackRead full article on Community Announcements (Happy Dinosaur 1)
