Embark on a cosmic journey as you control a rover across distant planets. Rover Simulator offers an immersive exploration experience, seeking signs of life and expanding our understanding of the universe, all from Early Access.

About this game

As you explore the dusty craters of the Moon and the cascading landscapes on Mars, you will collect vital data pertaining to evidence of microbial life, obtain soil and rock samples, and map out the landscape. As you gain knowledge with successful missions, your rover upgrades to traverse longer distances and perform better after research and upgrades.

The more you explore planets the more Experience Points will be given to the player, to unlock new planets and abilities. Avoid damaging/flipping your rover, doing so can cause connection loss to the satellite and the expedition will be unsuccessful.

ROVERS

- Moon Large Rover

- Moon Small Rover

- Mars Rover

Use your rover to travel vast distances on planets. Avoid damaging it or losing connection to the satellite and enjoy the scenic landscapes. Fully color customizable with ability upgrades.

PLANETS

Get as close as you can get to exploring the photorealistic landscapes of the Moon and Mars. From the depths of craters to the tops of mountains take in the view of the most realistic recreations of the Moon and Mars. Explore the Moon to gain enough XP to unlock the Mars Rover, explore mars and travel further into the galaxy to explore other foreign worlds.

Rover Simulator Early Access (PLEASE READ)

Today is the day Rover Simulator goes live on steam! We just wanted to give an update on the game's current launch as early access, as well as some new features and more about the game's development. disclaimer Since the game is early access, the game is not at its full potential, we have disabled some major features for development, but we are still deciding to release the game early because it will help us with funding to continue development on the game and make it better. There may be some bugs, so we are asking that you report them in our discord or here on steam. https://discord.gg/HysMSgEEnj Your purchase will directly fund the game and further, its content and development, we still have many things we want to add to the game but we are a small group of developers and could use more community support. New Features Random Checkpoint System New Boundry System Radar Construction Overall Optimization Our new checkpoint system, spawns checkpoints randomly around the map, at these checkpoints you will gain XP (research points for when the upgrade system is added), and at some checkpoints, you will find parts/hardware, after you collect 3 parts you can place down a radar by pressing G This will expand your map boundaries, allowing you to travel further distances and find more checkpoints. The boundary system limits the distance you can travel on the map, when you go too far out of bounds your rover can lose connection to the satellite, to expand your search area and boundaries, you need to collect parts to construct a radar that can be placed down. We have fixed many bugs with the game, there still may be more. If you run along with any bugs, issues, or have anything to suggest, please join our discord, https://discord.gg/HysMSgEEnj, or report it on steam. Future Development Goals The future of Rover Simulator is big, we plan to add many more rovers, planets, and features to the game. We plan to add an astronaut that you can play as and land on planets and conduct r...

Rover Simulator Release News & Beta Applications Open

Hello everyone, unfortunately, we had to delay our early access release date to sometime in August. But this is actually a good thing, as much as we want to release this game and have players play it, we are taking just a little extra time to refine the game, add more features, and of course test it. Adding onto that we will be opening beta testing applications within the next few days. We highly encourage you to join our discord, we just opened it and that's where you will hear news and updates about the game first. You also can apply for beta testing there, ask questions, and talk to other people. https://discord.gg/teD7hjMya2 Just a short announcement but there is more to come!
