  A sneak peek at the remake progress!

  Hey there all! Wanted to share some progress on the remake. I've been focusing on having a very polished first draft of all the systems in game. Thus far, my focus has been on dialogue, motion and world interactivity. I'm VERY happy with the way things are progressing!I'm also really in love with the new art direction. I feel it brings a certain life to Critter Crops that wasn't there before! Additionally, the business of the environment really brings that cozy feel but stays true to the original style.   The update progresses! MORE PLUSHIES UP FOR GRABS!!

  Hey there all! So I've been hard at work and making lots of progress. I've attached a sample of the new direction for our environment in the remake! its a lot more involved and detailed but fits the vision so much better. So I present Sylvie's Room!With that, I've also been working on dialogue animated emotes and implementing the whole new dialogue system! Although i dont have any official dialogue in just yet I'm REALLLY excited about how it's coming out and looking forward to sharing it with you all soon.Lastly, PLUSHIES ARE BACK!! The site officially has our first round of 'final' stock. So everything that is there is while supplies last. I do have some additional boxes of plushies that i just haven't been able to count into the inventory but please buy what you want as there is no guarantee that we have anymore!   The Future of Critter Crops

  Over the past year, I’ve spent a lot of time reflecting on Critter Crops and the journey surrounding it.To be honest, the original launch didn’t live up to what I had hoped for, both for you and for myself. A lot of that came down to behind-the-scenes challenges involving support, QA, and my own lack of experience at the time. At the end of the day, the responsibility for the state of the game falls on me, and I fully accept that.But despite everything, I’ve learned an enormous amount about development, partnerships, and the kind of games I truly want to create.I’m now in a much healthier and more stable place, and Critter Crops has officially returned fully into my studio’s hands as an independently SOLO developed title.Because of that, I’ve made the difficult decision to officially hold off on the Nintendo Switch release of the current version of Critter Crops.The reality is that the existing version of the game still has too many issues and technical problems for me to feel comfortable bringing it to Switch. Rather than continuing to divide my time between patching and porting the old version, I’ve decided to fully focus my energy on rebuilding Critter Crops into the experience it was always meant to be.And honestly… the remake has already grown into something far bigger and more exciting than I originally planned.Originally, I mentioned that the remake would likely only release on PC/Steam. However, after hearing from so many players who still wanted Critter Crops on Nintendo platforms, I’ve decided the remake will target both PC and Nintendo Switch.I also hope to eventually bring the remake to Switch 2, though I want to be transparent that I cannot promise that yet, as I’m not currently an approved developer for the platform.The remake already features: • A completely new visual direction • Rebuilt character art and animation pipelines • Improved systems and gameplay foundations • A much more polished and scalable structure overallFor the first time in a long t...

  'The Witch Reborn' Major Update 2.0 is LIVE!

  Long time no talk! Sooooo just gonna start things off with the happy news by saying that the long awaited overhaul (aka version 2.0) of Critter Crops is now LIVE! This update introduced a truckload of changes to gameplay quality. Please note that the story and questing for the game hasn't changed though so you won't feel like you missed out if you didn't finish out the game in the past. I won't spoil it by saying exactly what's changed but here's a baseline breakdown: New vendor New Grimoire New UI visual/layouts New revamped turn by turn combat New customization Complete controller support (this one was a DOOZY to implement. Unfortunately it's not perfect so we recommend not swapping back and forth between joystick and m&k) Plus many many more! With this update the game is final unless there are any MAJOR game breaking bugs. And once we have that confirmed then we are submitting final build to switch with the most stable 2.0 version of the game. Long time no talk!
