About this game
In The Ghost – Task of the Ghost Hunters, you’re the one they call when the unknown comes to life. Establish your own ghost-hunting agency and confront a world infused with dark forces. Your mission: uncover the truth, conquer the supernatural, and build your agency into the most successful ghost-hunting team out there.
With up to eight players, you’ll face sinister forces doing everything they can to bring you down. But beware: the ghosts aren't the only danger. Every decision you make influences the course of your hunt. Your reputation will determine the challenges you must face.

What to Expect on the Epic Games Store Here are some key differences and features you should know about: Full Version Instead of Early Access: While our game is currently in Early Access on Steam, it will be released as a full version on the Epic Games Store. This means you’ll be able to experience the complete, final version of our game right from launch. Differences in Online Features: The core game will be the same across both platforms, but there may be differences in the online features. We’re working hard to ensure that the online experience on the Epic Games Store is as close as possible to that on Steam. Our goal is to provide a 1:1 experience, but some adjustments may be necessary to ensure the best performance on both platforms. Update and Support Information: After the Epic Games Store release, we will continue to provide updates for both platforms while we are actively developing the game. Updates will be dynamic, meaning that content updates will be available on both platforms simultaneously. However, bug fixes and other specific adjustments may only be released for the platform where the issue occurs. We’ve released a small but important update that fixes several issues and improves the player experience. Bug Fixes Main Menu Vegetation: The vegetation display has been corrected and now works as intended. Agency Front Door: The door has been adjusted – players can now leave the building without issues. Changes Flashlight in the Tutorial: The flashlight is now available during the tutorial. This makes the first steps easier and improves visibility. Note: This update does not require a new save. Halloween Live Event & Update The Halloween Live Event has started. In addition to themed decorations, the game includes several major changes and improvements. Revamped Tutorial The tutorial has been completely redesigned to make getting started easier and more intuitive. There is also a new dialogue system, adding more dynamism and variety. Settings Updated The settings have been revised and are now saved permanently. New Content in the Agency New objects have been added to the agency. The new dialogue system is also active here, making conversations feel more natural and varied. New Sounds To enhance the atmosphere, various new sounds have been added to intensify the gameplay experience. New Shutdown System The game can no longer be exited via the PC.
