About this game
The Archive of Lost Memories
In the Archive, memories are kept as rooms you can walk through. You are its newest Archivist — and the Archive is coming apart.
Your work is strange and simple: every puzzle you assemble restores a memory the corruption has shattered. Complete the room, and a life comes back into focus.
Book I: The First Archivist
Seven chapters. Seven memory-rooms belonging to Elara Voss, the woman who founded the Archive — from a childhood forest, to a buried temple with her name carved a thousand years too early, to a door standing open among the stars.
The Curator narrates your work, and he is not telling you everything. Chapter by chapter he admits what he knows: the corruption eating the Archive isn't decay. It's a transmission. Something on the far side of the door Elara opened is calling through — and it seems to know your name.
Elara's own recovered logs tell you what the Curator won't.
Seven themed memory-rooms — druid hall, tavern, crystal sanctum, buried temple, drowned observatory, mountain lodge, and an observation station at the edge of the stars
Voiced narration that responds to your progress, not just your arrival
Collectible audio logs in Elara's voice, replayable any time
The Archivist's Primer — in-world clue pages that teach the game as they tell the story
Three ways to chase a clock
Timed Mode — Solve against a depleting survival clock. Every correct placement buys back seconds; hesitation spends them.
Solo VS — Race head-to-head against a rival ghost. No lobby, no queue, no waiting — your opponent is already on the board.
Grand Prix — A championship event: multi-lap timed rival races, scored across the full run.
Six power-ups, two per stage
Each stage deals you a different pair, so "fast" means something new in every room:
X-Ray — see through to the piece underneath
Clue Reveal — surface your next placement
Slow Motion and Freeze Time — buy back the clock
Auto-Snap — place clean under pressure
Gravity Shift — change how the board behaves
Reach out and build it
Full OpenXR support with one-to-one hand tracking — pieces follow your controller exactly, with tremor stabilization so an unsteady hand never costs you a placement. Rain sweeps the forest, fog rolls through the village, embers drift across the desert.
Prefer a screen? Every mode plays with mouse, keyboard, or gamepad, and the difficulty adapts to how you're actually doing.

Book I: The First Archivist — story mode
Book I: The First Archivist PuzzLR has a story now — and this is the biggest change the game has had since launch. The Archive of Lost Memories keeps memories as rooms you can walk through. You are its newest Archivist, and the Archive is falling apart. Every puzzle you assemble restores a memory the corruption has shattered, so finishing a board isn't a score screen anymore. It's the job. Book I follows Elara Voss, the woman who founded the Archive, across seven of her memory-rooms: a childhood forest, a village tavern, a crystal cavern, a buried temple where her name is carved a thousand years too early, a drowned observatory, a mountain lodge, and a door standing open among the stars. The Curator narrates your work in full voice-over. He is not telling you everything. Seven chapters, each with its own themed room and weather Voiced narration that reacts to your progress mid-puzzle, not just when you arrive Collectible audio logs in Elara's voice — her account doesn't always match his Six power-ups, dealt two per stage, so no two rooms play the same A word about multiplayer .... Online multiplayer is going away. We'd rather tell you here than let you find out by pressing a button that doesn't work anymore. If you ever tried to start a match, you probably already know why. Matchmaking on a small free game means sitting in an empty lobby hoping a stranger turns up in the same minute you did. That isn't a game mode, it's a coin flip. Maintaining it kept taking time away from the parts of PuzzLR people actually play. So we made a call: one thing done properly instead of two things half-working. Your achievements are safe. All ten are cumulative puzzle counts — none were tied to multiplayer, and nothing you've earned is affected. You still get someone to beat Solo VS — Race head-to-head against a rival ghost. Your opponent is already on the board when you press start. Grand Prix — A championship event: multi-lap timed rival races, scored across the full run.
