We Are Open is a shopping simulator game, that makes you rely on your memory and skills to successfully help everyone complete their shopping lists. Can you beat the rival AI? The stocks are randomly generated, so demands change up each round as well. And guess what? The shops swap their places too!

In We Are Open, manage a bustling store while competing against an AI. Each round brings new surprises as item locations and demands shift unpredictably, testing your organizational skills in this engaging indie simulation.
About this game
We Are Open is a game about the joys of shopping. Who doesn't love running around a mall looking for groceries, just to forget what they were looking for in the first place? Brace yourself, because there are many customers waiting to get to the bottom of their shopping lists! Give them a hand, will you?
But wait! Who is that other fellow doing YOUR job? It's Shop-O-Tron the AI that swoops all the credit before you can hand in your goods you just found with hard work. Pick up the pace and beat his score before the round ends!
In the current state of the game you can find customers walking around a mall, with shopping lists they are willing to share with you. Your job is to find these items scattered around the stores and bring anything you can remember back to them. If you manage to correctly deliver all products to every customer the round ends with your and the bot's score printed out. Can you beat the current high score of your Leaderboard? There is only one map at the moment, but some alterations are made between rounds!
There are many groceries to look for, more than you will remember that's for sure! Explore bakeries, butcheries and supermarkets, all with colourful stocks that change every time you start a round! You might remember you went for milk, but wait! Was it Oat Milk or Goat Milk? Let's just run back and check! Every item is ready to be picked up from the shelves, but if you can't find a prepared product, then feel free to turn on the Oven or the Slicing Machine and make it yourself!
Find Power Ups scattered around the map and use wide range of abilities to have a chance to beat your AI rival! Don't worry if you can't find any though! Your trusty robotic arm can extend and shoot its hand, and it's always by your side!
To make every round even more difficult, the shops don't stay in their places either! Explore a new layout every time, with randomly spawned shops!

0.1.1. PATCH NOTES - AUGUST 4, 2021
GAMEPLAY UPDATES Added a Difficulty Menu with 3 selectable difficulties and a Custom Difficulty option that allows you to tinker with every setting of the round. Easy: 0,5x AI Speed, no moving customers (3), no AI abilities, 5 Power Ups Normal: 0,75x AI Speed, moving customers (4), no AI abilities, 5 Power Ups Hard: 1x AI Speed, moving customers (5), AI abilities, 3 Power Ups Added different Leaderboards to each difficulty. Added the ability to place a Tracker on one customer. Doing this takes up one hand slot, but selecting it allows you to see an indicator in the direction of your Tracker through walls. (Right click on a customer to place it, and right click anywhere else to disable it) Added a Magazine that contains all products with their names and pictures. This way you can familiarize yourself with any listed product’s appearance while the game is paused. The categorized pages even give a hint where you might find the item you are looking for. (Open with M) The Shop-O-Tron AI can now use some of the Power Ups and its Ultimate Ability as well to transfer your inventory. Tip: You can prevent some of them by using the Firewall Power Up! Shortened the baking and slicing times to make your efforts worth it. VISUAL UPDATES Added a popup effect to notify the opponent’s used Power Ups that have an effect on you, or when an ability is blocked by a Firewall. Added the List Download icon to the customer’s tablet to make it more clear why it’s not showing up. Changed the Ultimate’s cooldown colour to orange, and made its icon faded until it’s loaded to make it more distinguishable and encourage its use. BUG FIXES Fixed a bug that prevented the player from shooting a product to a customer when they were too close. Fixed a bug that selected the wrong products in the Baking Oven’s menu.
