About the Game

In this bold turn-based RPG, where musical numbers meet thrilling combat, join pop singer Cadence on her quest for stardom.

After being shut out of the Noteworthy Song Contest, Cadence realizes that her solo act might not be enough for the judges. As she travels across Note to the Rock City of Durandis, the EDM City of Lumina, and more, Cadence fills out her band with eclectic and powerful musicians from lands afar. But something's brewing in the distance...the Harmonic Convergence is playing havoc with the world's musical energies, and dark forces are working behind the scenes to disrupt Note's natural harmonies. It wasn't in the set list, but Cadence and the others need to step up and make sure music itself still has a future on stage.

In People of Note, experience turn-based combat like never before: each battle is an interactive musical performance with evolving combat conditions, real-time rhythm-based attacks, and genre-bending mashup attacks!

  • Enjoy full-length cinematic musical sequences spanning a wide variety of musical genres, performed by our main cast of characters.

  • Experience turn-based action combat as a dynamic, interactive musical performance.

  • Tempo-Based Rhythm Combat: Time your attacks to the beat of the music for amplified damage against opponents.

  • Dynamic Combat Conditions: As the music in battle changes in real-time, strategize your attacks to synchronize with the current genre.

  • Musical Mashups: Combine the unique musical genres of your team members to unleash electrifying musical mashup attacks.

  • Explore Note, a massive world where each genre of music is represented by a completely unique environment and culture.

  • Dive into vibrant dungeons full of offbeat enemies and clever environmental puzzles.

  • Play it your way: Don’t like environmental puzzles? Turn ‘em off. Not into turn-based combat? Don’t worry, we got you. The entire experience of People of Note is completely customizable.

Thank you, all! New Iridium Studios Bundle added.

Hey everyone! Jason here, the creative director on People of Note. I just wanted to say thank you so much to everyone who’s played the game so far and shared your enjoyment with us across Steam, Discord and social media! We know we made a *particular flavor of game*, but it’s great to see when that resonates for folks! It means the world to us to see players having fun. We’re listening to the feedback and bug reports and investigating these for a future patch. To further celebrate the launch, we created a bundle with the rest of the Iridium Studios portfolio of audio-focused games, which are both on sale until April 24th. People of Note (PC) Review

When I got to try People of Note back in February, I was generally pretty impressed with what I was seeing. The hands-on demo itself was fairly short, but it gave me a pretty good sense of the concepts this game wanted to capture. Like I said then, when it comes to games published by Annapurna, you can typically expect quality, but Iridium Studios really sold me on its genuine passion for making something really special. I don’t know if I can say People of Note exceeded my expectations, since they were already pretty optimistic, but it was definitely consistent in confirming my predisposition. It’s a game that takes one core idea and hooks everything on it so completely and so creatively that it’s almost a miracle it didn’t fail. I guess it does pay off to do one thing right, if you’re going to do that one thing REALLY right. The story of People of Note concerns Cadence, an aspiring pop star whose only dream is to compete in the Noteworthy Song Contest in... Read more

Sorry Girl, the Demo is now offline!

Hey everyone! We’ve been super grateful for everyone who played the People of Note demo and provided us valuable feedback, providing us many iterations and improvements to the final game that will launch next week on April 7! To keep our focus on that final version of the game and any potential post-launch patches, we have taken down the old (now outdated) demo. Also, today is the final upload in our musical number previews! Smolder, the ever-popular and devilishly charming boy band of Chordia, wants to apologize for any of their actions that may have upset our main characters. Smolder is led by Anthony, voiced by Griffin Burns, who some may know as Childe from Genshin Impact, Muichiro from Demon Slayer, and Akira Fudo from Devilman Crybaby! We’re excited for everyone to experience the full game when it launches on PC and consoles on April 7 at 6:00am PT. Go join our Discord server to countdown the date with fellow fans!https://discord.com/invite/peopleofnote
