Demo Update #6: Story, Environment & Improvements
Features🧾Story Nodes: Get a first glimpse into the world of the Nether with 6 decision events, each with a fullscreen artwork. This is just the beginning of the feature! In the future there will be NPCs, travel decisions & lore. ⛰️3D Environments: Added 5 more 3D environments and all existing environments have been polished more.Improvements🛜Network traffic usage reduced by 84.5% from on average 110 kbyte/s to 17 kbyte/s by sending single ECS components from server to client (similiar to delta compression)🎯Optional Targets: You can now play cards that used to require 2 targets with only 1 target if it's a positive effect. Example: Great Roar II-B now let's you push up to 2 cards instead of exactly 2 cards.🏃Option to Disable Animated Attacks. This allows you to have a more strategic overview with for example "Static" mode vs. a more cinematic feel with the "Enabled" mode. If you like things absolutely still, you can also choose the "Disabled" mode.Enabled → Zoom-in + animated attacksStatic → No Zoom + static frames of attacksDisabled → Static charactersBugsFixed: Fallback bot mechanic in PvP mode when no player is foundFixed: Co-op partner had same rewards as playerFixed: “Overpower” card did not provide any block at all.Known issuesRage is not shown in preview value of attacksBalancingCardsDelicate Thorn: Increase Thorns gained by 1 from 3 to 4 ⬆️Searing Core: Cost decreased from 1 to 0; Removed block based on Rage, but you gain Block whenever you gain Burn. ⬆️Survival of the Fittest: Reworked Upgrade B ➡️Hubris: Soft Rework -> Has now 2 Charges and Banish. Making it easier to play, but removed Advance. 🔄Numb to Pain: Increased base damage from 5 to 6. ⬆️Echidna's Cunning: Soft Rework -> Has now Banish, Cost reduced to 1, reduces all enemies' strength by 4 while in queue. 🔄Echidna's Fangs: Soft Rework -> Now deals poison and heals for flat amount. Adjusted Upgrades accordingly. 🔄Collapse: Soft Rework -> No longer removes armor. Increases damage by 2 now instead of 1...Read full article on Community Announcements (andreas)Patch NotesOfficial

Demo Update #4
New Client & Server Update: Implemented save game system that works for the server as well as the offline version. A save game is always created when you move to a new POI on the map. Co-op sessions will be split up into two singleplayer sessions in save games. In future versions I plan to allow co-op saves & in-battle saves.Improved Re-Connect/Server Restart: future server restarts/updates should allow for seamless reconnection with only downside is a rollback to the last save game.Bugfixes: fixed several bugs that might have lead to crashes & stuck battles. Note: if you get stuck, please send me a bug report via https://go.netherspirits.net/bugs (incl. Player.log) - I'm still not sure if I got all the bugs that cause softlocks/crashes. Balancing Changes: Adjustments to single Grey Witch (Envy Elite fight) based on player feedback (thx Arkuktor) -> Now adds less burden cards to your deckAdjustments to Alternative Alkonost -> More attack power in Co-Op and starts with more Evade in general to provide more challengeChanged Upgrade B of "Lesser Ward" -> Removed "Banish" keyword; Cost increased to 2Adjustments to Alternative Oni based on player feedback (thx Arkuktor) -> Has now finite chances to restore HP. After that, will play either a damage card or buff itself.Read full article on Community Announcements (andreas)AnnouncementsOfficial
