About this game

In a beautifully crafted world, explore the vast biomes and challenges in the world of Jump Kid. In a difficult platforming adventure, you will need more than wits to be triumphant. Explore through the lands of the green forests, boiling volcanoes, and the freezing winter lands to become the one and only one who made it to the top of the largest mountain ever created.

The basis of Jump Kid is you must get to the top of an extraordinarily high mountain, but with a small catch, you can only jump your way up. That means no walking, running, swimming, or flying! Hold your jump key to charge a jump, and do your best to get past the many obstacles and puzzles that await you.

The mechanics and gameplay of Jump Kid are designed to be as challenging and rewarding as possible. Precision and the player learning mechanics are a very vital part of the development of Jump Kid.

Jump Kid is still a work in progress and will continue to develop and become the best possible game it can be. Most gameplay elements are completed, and the primary focus is going into finishing all the levels and end game content. You can expect to find more updates by following my social media.

    Jump Kid Demo Update 0.1

{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/40382046/21b22f6560ee335c962092444da7651fa5f8dabc.png Jump Kid Demo version 0.1 is live! Thank to player support I was able to fix and configure some key elements to the gameplay of Jump Kid. Special thanks to these players for testing the demo and helping add some key features and bug fixes: RuneShow Itolman4 The Ghost Gianbear Sange The Doctor If you'd like to be featured in the next announcement, be sure to download the demo and either leave a post anywhere on social media or steam, or better yet fill out the survey! LINK HERE Bug Fixes Fixed a zone that should have killed the player in 1-1 Jumpy Jungle Fixed default resolution being set to 800x600 on startup Fixed the player being able to go out of bounds at the first portal in 1-1 Jumpy Jungle Fixed the players hat being on a ghost in the portal on 1-1 Jumpy Jungle Updates Jump Meter Due to player suggestions, I have added a Jump Meter to the right hand side of the screen that lets the player know how much power they are using in their jumps. This will help both new and returning players better judge how they will tackle certain jumps. It will also further explain how long you can hold the jump button until it hits its maximum. Updated Tutorial Not only is there a new tutorial segment explaining the Jump Meter, also due to player feedback some other key features weren't really explained either. I have now updated the tutorial to explain all main mechanics and key bindings needed to play Jump Kid. Faster Deaths 3 seconds seemed like a long time to wait before you respawn. Which I totally agree! Players vented their frustration on how long it took to respawn, so I have made a huge change to the respawn speed. Dying has been shortened dramatically, which will allow you to die even faster now. Updated Trees It was really frustrating to repeatedly die in the beginning of a checkpoint, so I have made some adjustments to the tree segment in 1-1 Jumpy Jungle. Update may require you to replay the tuto...

I'm back! Jump Kid demo actually coming soon.

My most sincere apologies to all those I left waiting for the demo. After a series of unfortunate events, and numerous speed bumps in my way, I can now confidently say the demo for Jump Kid will actually be coming soon. Initial delays were due to my underestimation on just how close the demo was to be finished. Bug after bug I fixed it seemed to never be enough. It wasn't until a week or two after my last announcement that I finally fleshed out the demo and got rid of (hopefully) all bugs. Fast forward to the next day...and I just wasn't happy with the demo. Maps were too basic, sound design just didn't hit it for me, and many of the zones just didn't sit right with me. Next month or two after completely redesigning the game, I noticed my computer just couldn't keep up with the speeds I was setting my pace for. I then got the idea to upgrade the entirety of my PC to make sure I could run Ue5 (yes I silently switched from Ue4 to 5 a month before my last announcement). Got the new parts, and decided to get to work. At least I would have if it actually worked. Unfortunately for me, I ran into many problems upgrading my PC. Fix after fix, it was never enough. It wasn't until last week that I found and out and replaced my CPU to finally fix my errors. Now my computer is up and running and working better than ever! I can finally say the demo for Jump Kid will actually be coming out very soon. I refuse to make any promises, so you will just have to believe me. (Very professional I know) Thank you so much for reading and your interest in my game. I am very excited for you to try it!

    NEW JumpKid Demo Coming Soon!

{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/40382046/63be07c4f53fa44d7bd368f463ba58d065167672.png It has been a while since I gave you fellas an update on JumpKid, so hopefully this announcement is exciting for some of you. But before I go into the details of the new demo remember everything about the game is liable to change. I HIGHLY recommend you join the discord if you wish to help me make JumpKid the best game it can be. As promised, the completely newly remade JumpKid demo is coming very, VERY soon. I don't like to promise exact dates, but don't be surprised if it comes out within a week or two from now. In the demo you will be able to experience many new mechanics the old version did not have. To name just a few: 1. First look into the in-game challenge system. 2. Never seen before had shop to make your character look especially dumb. 3. A fun and creatively new visual experience. (Seriously the game looks way nicer now) 4. Test the new playable characters. 5. Newly implemented tutorial. 6. And of course last but not least, the honor of being the first ones to play the first level of the base game once JumpKid fully released. (Content liable to change drastically) Once the demo is out and ready for you to play, I will post much more in depth detail about what you can and can't do for those who don't like reading too much. But one thing you can know for sure is I genuinely believe you will find the game not only challenging, but most importantly fun. I will most likely be posting it to my itch.io page when it's ready. Maybe there is a way I can make a demo on Steam, but until then be sure to follow my social media so you know exactly when and where to download it! Itchio Huge shoutout to those who are interested in the project so far. Can't thank you all enough. Join the discord, follow the social media, but more than anything have a fabulous day!
