Micropatch 1.5.3
Just addressing a niche bug that could cause online games in unusual circumstances. Alongside of this are some more online stability changes, so to resume in-progress online games make sure everyone is on the latest build. The online has come a pretty tremendous way since launch, but fixes like this are still thanks to player reports and log files. Thanks to everyone still sending me errors and bug reports!Version TweaksFixed a bug causing online games to disconnect if multiple players all with thorns died simultaneously to an attacking enemy.Optimizations to how online processes combats to make it more efficient and less likely to crash in the future.Read full article on Community Announcements (Lemonade Flashbang)Patch NotesOfficial
Micropatch 1.5.2
Micropatch 1.5.2When preparing the game for Steam Deck, I made some font size adjustments to English fonts. These made it easier to read the game on Deck - but there are edge cases where you can get text overruns. This patch is a micropatch that fixes the overruns that I'm aware of:Player names in the stats cards and the Level Up panes are slightly shrunkFlavor text is slightly shrunk and moved down a little to avoid overrunsThe settings window applies a blur effect making it a little less visually cluttered while openedRead full article on Community Announcements (Lemonade Flashbang)Patch NotesOfficial
Patch Notes 1.5.1
Valve recently tested Doomsday for Steam Deck compatibility!I made a few changes to the default branch in order to make it play a bit easier on Steam Deck. The game was originally tested on the console- but newer updates like the Compendium weren't checked and the text could be small and hard to read. The text size is now a fair bit bigger for features where it was previously very small. I did some light testing on this- but it's possible there were some unintended results so if you see a bit of formatting junk then shoot me a message.Steam Deck compatibility will still show "Playable" because we're just under the requested guidelines- but you won't see anything that's an eye strain to read anymore. Content ChangesFixed a typo in the feet loving ghost event.MiscText sizes on the Collections menu, Achievement Tabs, button hints, and the Unlocks menu has been bumped up for easier reading on Steam Deck.If the game is launched on Steam Deck and no prior save file exists, the resolution will automatically switch to Steam Deck's native resolution. If a save file does exist, the resolution won't change.Future Projects?I recently created a Steam Developer Page. You can follow me there to be notified when new games come out, or just to stare at the cover art for Doomsday and let the time drift around you. Last month I started recruiting voice actors to join my voice roster for an upcoming project. You can find the posts on BlueSky or X- and if you're interested in submitting but didn't see it, feel free to contact me there or on the game's Discord server to submit an audition. Once I've got something a little more substantial to share, I'll be polling the community for feedback and playtesting- so if you're interested in that kind of thing then consider joining the game's Discord server. There wont' be any movement for a few months, but I'll start dropping some sneak peaks in a few months when things have progressed a bit farther.Read full article on Community Announcements (Lemonade Flashbang)Patch NotesOfficial

As far as content updates go- this one's a bit smaller. It's more of a victory lap- rounding out the game with a new boss, some new costumes, and some bugfixes. As far as first indie games go, Doomsday did really well- but it's no secret that it never got big. I'll continue fixing any bugs that pop up- but this will likely be the last content update unless we have a big Cinderella moment. Thank you all for playing and taking this journey with me! I'm thinking a bit more about the future, and while the Discord is a little slow between updates it's where I'll be pulling testers and players for future games. Consider joining it if you're interested in that sort of thing. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/41677891/1420f44cccef81a9462f925e60f58fc683512256.gif New Content A new boss, Krogath, joins the game! Discover 60 endings to unlock the monster on the key art! New costumes for Jim, Azla, Plimbo, Sophie, and Ben are now available! Check the Unlocks menu for their requirements! God Mother has a new costume! Check it out on Holiday mode! Bugfixes Online stability improvements when continuing a previous game. Online stability improvements made when combat begins- especially for later game combats. Fixed a bug where the Credits page was cutting off a small number of voice actors from the list. Fixed a bug where ditching the boss counted twice for unlock progression.Read full article on Community Announcements (Lemonade Flashbang)Patch NotesOfficial

{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/41677891/79c710cf84385afb6ffd4c5c9ee9307a58f92b50.png It's been a while since the last game update! But I'm here and ready with the Wave 2 update, just in time for the launch of the Nintendo Switch version! Getting the game to run on the Nintendo Switch required a huge overhaul to the way the game loads and stores information. Alongside the new content, you should expect significantly reduced start up load times and memory usage- meaning you'll be able to play on even weaker machines than before. I don't want to keep anyone waiting. Here are the patch notes! Patch Notes 1.4.0 New Content Unlockable enemy Merrow joins the fray. Unlockable boss Sun Champ joins the fray. The Unlocks menu will showcase what costumes and enemies you still need to unlock... and their unlock conditions. The Collection menu will showcase everything you've found! A brand new Holiday Mode toggle will let you guarantee bosses appear in their holiday threads! The Spark Mother quest has now been enabled. Backend The startup load time is drastically reduced. The game's memory consumption is drastically reduced. The game no longer lags briefly when opening the Library menu. Cleaned up a couple buggy UI transitions. Sound / Voice test key prompts are now always visible.
