Historical low calculator
Check whether a Steam game's current price matches its lowest recorded price, and how far above that low it currently sits.
The result is only as good as our recorded price history — it's an estimate, not a guarantee there won't be a deeper sale in future.
"Historical low" here means the lowest price we've personally recorded in our own daily snapshots — not the lowest price this game has ever been sold for anywhere. If a game was only recently added to the catalog, there may not be much history behind it yet, so treat an early "yes" or "no" with that in mind.
A "no" result just means today's price sits above the lowest we've seen — it tells you nothing about whether a deeper discount is coming. Steam's sale calendar isn't predictable from this data alone, so use the gap shown above as context, not a countdown.

Imagine you're checking if a game's current price of £14.99 is a new low. You look at its recorded history and see that the lowest it has ever been is £9.99. Since £14.99 is more than £9.99, this isn't a historical low — there's still a gap of £5.00 above the lowest price ever seen.
Later on, you notice the game's price drops to £9.99 or even lower. Now this becomes a new historical low, because it meets the criteria — at or below every recorded price before it. The game has finally hit its lowest tracked point.
FAQ
What counts as a historical low?
A price at or below every price we've ever recorded for that game in our daily price snapshots. If we haven't recorded any history yet, we can't say either way.
Why does it say "no price history recorded yet" for some games?
We only know a game's historical low from the prices we've actually snapshotted ourselves. A game added recently may not have enough history yet to compare against.
Is this the lowest the price will ever be?
No — it's the lowest price we've recorded so far, not a guarantee. Steam sales vary, and a deeper discount in future is always possible.
Do I need to enter the current price myself?
No — pick the game from the search field and the calculator looks up its current tracked price automatically. There's no manual price entry for this calculator.
Can I use this calculator for games from other platforms besides Steam?
No — this calculator only works with Steam games, since it relies on price history we track specifically for the Steam catalog.
How often is the price data updated?
Daily, according to our own tracking snapshots — not a live, real-time feed.
How does the calculator determine the lowest price ever recorded?
It checks every price point we've snapshotted for that game and compares the current price against the lowest one found.
Can I use this tool to compare prices across different Steam regions?
No — it only reflects the single region/currency this site tracks, not a cross-region price comparison.
Does this calculator include seasonal Steam sales or special promotions?
It doesn't treat sales events specially — it just compares whatever price is tracked today against the recorded history, whether or not that price happens to be part of a seasonal sale.
Can I use this to predict future discounts?
No — it only checks past recorded prices. For that, see the planned "best time to buy" calculator, which is a separate, not-yet-built idea.
